The Washington Field Museum and Bug House Laboratory were said to be the largest amateur museum in the world. That was the outcome of a ten-year effort made by the boys and girls of Washington who had inclinations and interests along scientific lines and who were interested in scientific research. Pictured above are the "Bug House," attractive stone fire-place and one of the cabinet showing a Lake Mattamuskeet water fowl life relief.
