| Harvey S. Firestone founded the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in July, 1900. Six months after he moved to Akron, Ohio, he established himself as the center of the tire industry. Pictured here are two Firestone factories. Note that one of them is in Akron, Ohio, Mr. Firestone's hometown. |
