While remodeling during July 2001, workers uncovered steel beams from 1912 while trying to remodel and old building in Washington at the corner of Market and Third streets. The cornerstone at the southeast corner of the building states it was built in 1912, by Hassell Supply Company with M&M Jones, architect as designer. Henry Rumley, the previous owner of the building, and known for his many years of service at Rumley Auto Supply, stated Hassell Supply Company was a general farm supply business. Current owner, Whit Blackstone, is renovating the building to make three offices out of the ground floor.
